Interview to "Suishou no Fune" which depends on a Japanoise

"Suishou no Fune"is dark psychedelic electric guitar duo, including Pirako Kurenai ,female vocalist and guitarist ,and Kageo,male vocalist and guitarist. They surve noisy electric guitar ansamble and dark&melow songs.

Q. Tell the circumstances of formation. What musical activities were carried out before "Suishou no Fune"formation ?

A. It is having drunk so that our might be exposed here and there those days (1999), although alcohol's is hardly drunk just in now. We became acquainted with the lock bar of "Nishiogi" at such time. We will be of congenial temper and will say that we will make sound with studio instantly .. Of course, it is a guitar. Is studio borrowed? Although it has got drunk and being cooked. But this is uncanny again. The whirlpool of the noise of a large explosion. Into the whirlpool, the belt of feeling became a dragon, and two persons fought and soared. If only there is time, it goes into studio, and it is always the whirlpool of a large explosion. Kana which was continuing this for 1 or 2 months for a long time. And conversation is nothing. It is interesting anyhow. It was talking to sound. This!! ... It is that it will be quite uncanny if sound is made from these two persons. And I made the paintbrush fold in "Kageo" and drew him (Kageo was a painter) into the musical world. And "Suishounofune" starts. (P)



Q. Teach the origin of naming, although it is perfect for when the live is seen as the band name of "Suishou no Fune" does not have more than this.

Those days, I was working in the store handling the crystal stone of "Nishiogi." It was work very pleasant in polishing a crystal ball like every day, or washing an ore with water. Naturally, it becomes the center of attention of a stone. Both persons fitted into a mystical charm of crystal rapidly. It asked Kageo "A band name is used as what" at the time. He said, "The ship of crystal is appearing into pitch-black darkness ..." It is the ship of crystal if it is it. It is already decided by it and is ! (P).

Q. Was it such performance style from the beginning ?

The style of a performance has not changed fundamentally. Although sound changes whenever a musical instrument and a member interchange, and it excels. It returned to the free feeling at the time of being set to DUO last year and beginning again. It is the fellow of returning to fresh spirit. It is very prizing the feeling now. (P)



Q. sharing-how-composition and the arrangement kana

In composition, the person who built the song leads a basic portion. Since the person concerned who built the song has the strong image. The rest is built making sound with all members. Weave in the thread of many colors and one cloth should be finished. (P)



Q. Prize by making a song or the performance. What thing becomes a subject matter in making a song ?

What to sing first of all is sung. And get used to a free feeling always. (K)
Most is an inspiration. Or I have sung in the dream. (P)
An emergency will be immediately connected as it is normal. When it goes too far beyond, it becomes impossible but to return. It becomes as it carried out, and because a feeling is good, it will become. Therefore, which world cannot but associate well. Then, it is since it can go to go and can return to return. (K)



Q. "Gig" -- the guitar (SG) of "Pirako" and The guitar(Stratocaster) of "Kageo" is a very good combination. Does it sometimes take care about a musical instrument or especially tone quality ?

There is especially no prejudice of a musical instrument. All are edges. Since there was also no money. At first, I was playing the base. Get that the friend has gathered from a garbage place. After a while, it meets with "Les Paul " like the red rose found at the secondhand store. I had in the guitar again from the base. And it met with the present "SG" which was carrying out [ behind ] used sale in neighboring studio. The tone has also changed by the musical instrument which it naturally has. Well, the present SG and both of the combination of "Stratocaster" are remarkable pleased. Since it is pleasant. It will go with this for the time being. (P)



Q. Although it is called in many cases that your music is psychedelic, how does it think to that ?

Time of the formed first stage. "The hardcore folk" was told to people. (P)
I am fortunate when everybody is glad to listen to the music of "suishounofune." It is free if the people call it "a psychedelic Ambient noise and improvisatorial." Please call to like.



Q. Although it is large volume, you should call it the Ambient noise, or why thinks that sound is comfortable to an ear ?

I think that our feeling and conception became sound and it has got across to people who are hearing it. If that is not right, it should become the noise sound which is probably painful. I am performing in large volume with an idea such. (K)



Q. What are the origin of your music, and influenced Japan and foreign music ?

I think that influence was received in various music from a child's time. It starts in a children's song and they are a popular song, a fork, a lock, reggae, ethnic one, a classic, etc. But especially the lock liked UK. Most sound was not heard although the name of the people which are working on the underground scene of Japan had been heard. Therefore, coactors' music was known after forming "suishounofune." After going to see "Gig" first, all start. It is very real time. It went to see "Gig" anyhow rather than to know sound as knowledge, and has felt with feeling. And it plays together. It is it is stimulative and wonderful for "suishounofune." Moreover, it becomes the power of a band. Of course, it may become acquainted by other methods. Since I am performing music, I want to believe my instinct and intuition. And I think that it suits being direct influenced as a life object. (P)



Q. Tell the thing of a plan of the Live.

It is very severe to form a plan. Since there are also advertisement activities. However, I want the visitor to enjoy myself from the beginning to the last. Therefore, I want to continue the plan from now on. Since the plan of a "Live House" has much useless one. (K)
If the concept of a plan is determined, performers' concentration will also enter. Since it becomes a hotter performance by the synergistic effect, a plan is interesting.. The night when the energy of a player and the visitor whirls and melts together is made. We are performing two plans, "Crystal Edge" and " Underground Flower", now. (P)



Q. After formation, many "Gigs" are managed for a short period of time, and the impression of a "Live Band" is received truly. How is training ?

"The Gig activity" is more interesting. And it is experienced also including an occurrence. Therefore, the number of Gigs increased automatically. (P)
It is the feeling of playing not with training but with the musical instrument. (K)



Q. Please let me know transition of band organization. It is the impression that sound is changing again because the new Drummer entered..

The "MEW" which was coming by the first live to see as the visitor had spoken. At that time, it was glad. "Matsueda" and "Ushihusa" are the people which were the members of "Honetsuki Piton." "Isogai" became acquainted with the lock bar of Nishiogi. "Matsue" is an acquaintance of a lock bar friend. In Mr. doronco, it goes to see the live of das (around the time of there having been Mr. seven), and knew each other. It came to see the inner live after that. Encounter is great. And when "Suishou no Fune" loses a bass and activity has stagnated, I remember the thing which "Mr. doronco" said, "Helps always", and have you help for a while. "Mr. yhokai" became acquainted by costarring by "Yukotopia." He said by platform of the train of return, "The sound of Suishou no Fune is quite close to the world of my solo." And it went to see his solo. I also thought that well, I was near. And it will be said that it will do together and he became a member after that. And it passes at the time ... For moreover, two persons A duet's live was intently performed by "Muryoku Muzenji of Kouenji." The free performance at the time of formation revives. "Teru" which was appearing by the coactor was nestling up to us unawares after the performance of "Suishou no Fune" at such time. He is the peculiar man. When saying to him, "Come from ? next week done together if you want to do", he came from the next week truly every week.. ( "Suishou no Fune" is performing the commuter's ticket Gigs by "Muryoku Muzenji" on Tuesday every week..) Encounter is always come suddenly in this way. By subscription of "Teru", I think that the free performance became still more forcible. Moreover, the performance freer than a song increased in Gigs. But the foundations　of "Suishou no Fune" are songs. It does not change only there from now on. (P)

Q. Please tell me what to deal with a future ambition and from now on etc.

I want to extend activity rapidly from now on. I want to ask various people in various places. And I want to meet many people.
As long as it is alive in this world. (P)
